Our big garden all around the house is most lovely to visit in spring, when all the new life starts again after a short winter. But also in the summer the garden is a great extension to the villa with nice places to sit and hang around in the hammock and watch our flora and fauna...

If you really really like to take part in our wildlife you can even put up your tent and count the

fire-flies till you fall asleep...

And all this peacefulness in the middle of busy, moving colorful Tirana. Very near the historical center of the city, Scanderbeg square, where the old mosque, the clock tower, the Opera, the National Museum of History are located, and very close to the night life area 'Blloku' quarter. The national football stadium is a 3 minutes walk away. And if you prefer to play yourself, there is the big Lake park at 5 minutes walking distance, especially in the summer worth a visit, while a great mixture of Albanians gather there to promenade, fish, walk their cows and sheep, to do family-picnics or just play some football. Nearby, within 100m, you can find a post-office, many restaurants, many internet cafes, RockWood pub, several bars, and the house of the Prime Minister...

We welcome you to Tirana Backpacker Hostel situated in this almost 70 year old villa of the Karajani family. We opened our doors in the summer of 2005, it  was at that time the only hostel in Albania. All around the villa we created a beautiful garden with lots of flowers, plants, trees and inhabitants...
