The sounds of the garden
From the garden you can enjoy the sounds of the three main religions practiced in Albania, quite loud is the Orthodox church next door, then there are the bells of the Catholic church and the singing of the Mosque further down the street. But except from these sounds (and the neighbor roosters and dog) it is perfectly quite in this garden in the centre of Tirana.
In the Spring of 2009 we opened the doors of our next Tirana Backpacker Hostel! Situated in a beautiful old villa, that the past four years has been used as a kindergarden (as you can see by the many midgets on the walls...) and somewhere further in the past has been inhabited by the family of Mother Tereza and by the famous Albanian sport-teacher Avni Zajmi. While the Hostel is located in the end of a little alley it is a really quite place in the middle of all happenings, you’ll find many different restaurants around, cafes, shops and a 2 minute walk from the main ‘Skenderbeg’ square.
